Orders for Economy or Standard Service events need to be confirmed no later than two full business days before the day of the event. The guest count guarantee is due at this time.
- Critical orders
Economy or Standard Service orders that are placed with less than a two days advance notice will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the event can be serviced. Late Orders that are accepted will incur the $75 late fee.
- Same-day orders
Same-day orders will be referred to a Tufts Dining retail restaurant for take-out service. There is no late charge for Take-Out. Visit Short-Notice Take-Out from Tufts Dining Facilities for details.
- Continental Express
For last minute breakfat orders, Continental Express by Tufts Catering allows groups of 5-14 guests the opportunity to access limited services if ordered by 12noon the day prior to the event. Please ask your Catering Specialist about Continental Express.
Executive Service
Orders for Executive Service events or any order that requires special attention or the scheduling of servers, bartenders or other staff need to be confirmed no later than five business days prior to the event date.
- Less than five day notice
If you provide less than five business days notice, we may not be able to schedule the staff needed to fulfill your order. We regret that we definitely cannot fulfill requests for Executive Service (or any order requiring a custom menu or the scheduling of servers or bartenders) with less than 2 business days notice.
Matriculation/Orientation and Alumni Weekend/Commencement
For all events planned during Matriculation/Orientation and Alumni Weekend/Commencement, we request at least 10 business days advance notice. During this busy period, events specifically related to Matriculation/Orientation and Alumni Weekend/Commencement will be given priority. Events requested with less notice than 10 business days may be refused if we have reached our service limitations.
