Standard Hours
The standard operating hours for Tufts Catering including all food preparation, delivery, set-up, clearing and event services are Monday–Friday from 8 am–8 pm.
Functions scheduled to start prior to 8 am or after 8 pm will incur an administrative fee equal to $22.50/hr to help offset the additional expenses to open early/close late.
Weekend and holiday deliveries require a minimum of $300 in food and beverage charges.
Server-On-Site
If your event requires a specific set-up or clearing time and/or if you want the food, beverages and condition of the function room to receive attention during the event, we recommend you request a Server-on-Site.
There is a minimum administrative fee of $67.50 for up to 3 hours of service. Any additional time will be charged at $22.50/hr.
Administrative Fee
Food and beverage prices in the Tufts Catering Menu or on event proposals DO NOT include delivery, set-up, clearing or the cost of wait staff and bartenders. If your event requires these services you will be charged an administrative fee to offset the expense of delivery and service resources and logistics.
Table of Charges for Delivery and Service Options
Economy Service
The Drop-off Delivery Fee is $15. Note: This covers Drop-off Delivery only. Economy Service does NOT include any set-up for the event nor return to the event site to clear or clean-up. This is strictly a drop-off service.
Standard Service
The Delivery, Set, and Clear Fee is $45 and includes deliver to site, set-up of food and beverage stations and return at our scheduled time to clear food and beverage items from the event space.
Executive Service
Executive Service requires the scheduling of wait staff to service your event. There will be a $67.50 administrative charge for up to 3 hours of service to offset the expense of delivery and service resources and logistics. Additional time will be charged at $22.50/hr. Estimates for this charge will be furnished upon request prior to the event.
Executive Service includes delivery to site, set-up of food and beverage stations and all table top for guest tables, as well as oversight of the vent and immediate clearing.
